Aspen on Kenosha Pass on our way to Breckenridge.
This watertank is on the Boreas Pass Road - a very rough drive on the way to Breckenridge
When we got to Breckenridge we went to this Brewery which is about 9 miles from Breckenridge in Frisco.
Looking down on Breckenridge from the Boreas Pass Road.
This was taken in our back yard on October 15.
Out of our Beaver Run (Breckenridge) window.
Wheat in our Breckenridge Room.
On our way to Breckenridge we went over Kenosha Pass.
We had a Professional Workers Conference in Breckenridge CO from Oct 2-4, 2003. We took the backroads to get there. These pictures were taken on that trip.
The railroad way back used Boreas Pass to get around the mountains. Look up Boreas Pass on your map program.
It had a nice atmophere. We got beer and wine which we used for a toast (there is a slide showing the toast)
After driving for about 4 hours over mountainous country we finally saw Breckenridge from the road. If we would have taken I-70 the trip would have been less than 2 hours.
We've had a nice Fall if you like no rain. The trees have gradually shed their leaves. This is our backyard tree with many of its leaves already fallen.
This glass was in the Brewery and its theme was the October Fest in Frisco.
Our conferences in the Rocky Mountain District usually are held in Breckenridge a very nice mountain/ski community.
Unfortunately the pictures are out of chronological sequence. Marlene found this amount our hidden treasures in our basement. Although you probably can't tell it - it's a stuffed turkey.
If you look closely you can see Marlene's ring and my finger in this toast of beer and wine. I held the camera myself when taking the picture.
We thought this was a nice decorative piece found in our Beaver Run Bedroom.
I like to take Aspen Pictures with backlighting. This is one that I took on Kenosha Pass (on Hwy.285)
We traveled Hwy.285 south from Denver. We got off at the Como, CO exit. As you can see it's probably not where most of you would like to retire.
This is another aspen picture. The best one is coming next.
If you have a good printer with glossy paper you can print this up to 8 1/2 by 11 with good results. It's a framable picture
